Jamaica Me Care Foundation

Jamaica Me Care was founded by Ariana Danzy, granddaughter of Jamaican immigrants and graduate of Spelman College. She has visited Jamaica nearly every year of her life, learning more each year about her Jamaican background and family legacy. Once becoming a freshman at Spelman College, she truly began to understand the importance of education. Taking on the school’s motto “A Choice to Change the World” Ariana felt compelled to give back to the children in her family’s hometown of Clarendon Jamaica. With the help of her family, she created Jamaica Me Care to provide educational resources, access to technology, and opportunities that will allow students to strive for more while embracing their Jamaican culture. Her mother Aisha Danzy and father CJ Danzy, along with a host of friends and family, are active members of the organization and continue to support the efforts set forth.
